Sometimes healing can be as simple as having someone actually listen to you. Not analyzing you, not judging you, and not waiting their turn to speak – just listening and then offering a space for you to heal.
This can lead to recommendations to further holistic healing modalities like Reiki, meditation, and breathwork. Jacintha Field gives her clients permission to open up to her as she listens and then can aid in their journey through holistic modalities.

Tell me about your professional background.
My background is in Events and PR. I worked for many big corporations. However, when I became pregnant, I started my own Social Media Agency + PR so I’d work from home and look after my little guy. After three years of around the clock clients, five accidents and a lack of constant sleep, I decided to switch gears and study Integrative Nutrition as I needed to calm my nervous system. Although I started meditating on and off for 20 years, this path was the commencement of my spiritual awakening. I engaged in many courses to truly understand and love myself. The deep dive and inner work cemented my purpose of helping others to do the same. My qualifications include; Family and Child Counsellor, Art Therapist, level 3a Reiki Practitioner, Meditation Teacher certified by 1 Giant Mind, Breathwork Coach and recently I have just completed Kids Yoga Teacher Training – kids wellness holds a special place in my heart.
What made you want to get into this field?
I have always been fascinated by nutrition, I have tried most “lifestyle choices” out there. I realised very early that what we put into our bodies affects our moods. After studying nutrition, emotional healing became a huge passion of mine. As growing humans, we are encouraged not to feel, to ignore our emotions and just “get on with the job”. Well, I don’t believe this to be true. And this way of thinking didn’t work for me. It encouraged a party lifestyle of 15 years to escape my thoughts. I believe that we need to feel into our emotions, to give them space and respect to heal.
What has been your favourite aspect of this work?
Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved helping people. It lights up my soul. Seeing people shine makes my heart sing. I have a gift to be able to see others’ light, even when they can’t!
Can you explain what you do and what a typical session with you is like from start to finish?
Every human is different, so there is certainly no cookie-cutter approach. My sessions involve feeling into what is coming up for my clients and teaching them how to self regulate. I encourage them to feel. And permit them to do so. Each client requires different approaches to healing, some may need breathing practices, meditation, art therapy, yoga poses, reiki sessions, energetic bodywork or just a listening non-judgmental ear. Unfortunately, I feel that many people can’t hold space when they need it. So here I am to support my clients. Because I have processed my own big emotions, I can handle big emotions. I have tools to be able to assist my clients with moving through whatever is coming up for them.
What sort of health challenges can holistic healing modalities be effective for and why?
Depression, anxiety and/or mental health. I feel as a practitioner that humans need to be seen, heard and valued. They also require connection, growth and belonging.
Unfortunately, quite often my clients don’t feel seen and heard, so I bring them back to the soul essence of who they are.
Is there a technique or modality in your practice that you have found to be the most beneficial to the people you work with?
Listening. Simply holding space for someone when they need it most.
What is your work like from the patient’s point of view?
I often get told that I make them feel seen. I have a special gift to see their light even when they can’t.
What would you say to someone skeptical about holistic healing and its effectiveness? How do you approach that?
Give it a go! What have you got to lose? This work may surprise you.

I feel we could all do with a lot of self-love right now, so I have just launched a 21 Days to Self Love program to “Building Resilience Through Adversity and Pain” – that launched on the 1st of November.

Other people’s opinions of you are just that, their opinions. Be strong in who you are.
