Sometimes you’re scrolling Instagram and you find someone that you just connect with. All of their posts seem to speak directly to you and you’d love to work with them in some way – especially if they specialize in an area that you’re struggling with.

Luckily in today’s day and age, being able to access health practitioners virtually has become a reality. There are some modalities that require the practitioner to be in the room with you and involve physical touches, such as Reiki and therapeutic massage, but there are still plenty of holistic healing modalities that can be done virtually!

About Faustine and her work:

I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach with a B.A in Psychology. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, I studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a health coach!

I was looking for a way to align my background in psychology with my desire to support women, and my passion for health. I was so thankful when I found the world of holistic wellness because health coaching really brought all these aspects together for me!

My favorite aspect of this work is helping women become healthier and happier, and seeing how much this transforms their entire lives. I also have so much fun putting together the personalized wellness plans I make for clients because no one person has the same needs, priorities, or goals, which keeps my work interesting!

About holistic healing:

To me, holistic healing is healing in a way that takes into consideration all aspects of your life (which can be anything from the foods you eat to the relationships you have). I love looking at health from a holistic perspective because it really takes into consideration the mind, body, and soul.

A typical session with a client starts off with determining their health goals, and then we work together in a series of sessions to implement small & sustainable changes that allow them to reach these goals. All my sessions are virtual, so I always tell people it’s like having an online best friend cheering you on, supporting you, and providing guidance as you transform your life!

I think holistic healing can provide support for almost any health challenge as long as you have proper guidance and information.

I think it is key to supporting health and well-being, and it’s something I wish more people knew about/had access to. 

I’ve found that different techniques and modalities work for different people, so it really depends on the individual! For example, I recommend certain types of meditation for some clients, but wouldn’t necessarily recommend an hour-long meditation to a busy working mom!

As someone who has been on a holistic health journey myself, I know what it’s like to be on the other side of the process, which really helps me when working with clients. In my experience, the healing process looks and feels different for everyone, but overall I would say it is a journey of renewed hope.

I think information is powerful, so I always do my best to share evidence-based information, and real-life examples to help people who are curious about holistic health.

Faustine’s overall wellbeing tips:

One thing I always tell the women I work with is that if something isn’t enjoyable, it probably isn’t sustainable. So if you’re looking to get healthy and make changes in your life, be sure to incorporate things you love (whether that be food, a type of exercise, or even an activity!)

I have definitely had my share of struggles (and still do) so I would tell them that they aren’t alone and that there is hope.
